• BBC Music Day 26th September 2019

  BBC Music Day is the UK wide, annual celebration of the power of music to change lives, with two thousand events across the UK and a hundred broadcasts on TV, Radio and Digital.  This year 1400 schools and almost 300,000 children took part.

   

  Year 5 celebrated BBC World Music Day by taking part in a web based singing warm up session led by singer Nina Nesbitt.  Afterwards we worked on learning how to sing our song for this half term, ‘Livin' on a prayer.’ All the children enjoyed trying the new warm up ideas and joined in enthusiastically with the singing.

  Thank you to Graham Marshment, an ex Headteacher, who on 3rd August 2019 was fortunate to fly over Orchard Site.  He took the opportunity to take an aerial photograph of the school and has kindly sent it to us to share with our parents (see below).
