• Sickness Policy

  We have had a number of cases of sickness/stomach bug over the last 48 hours within our Year 5 classes.  We are working hard to try and prevent any further spread of this bug and would ask for your support with this.

   

  Please ensure that if your child is displaying any of the following symptoms that you keep them at home as detailed below:

  • Stomach ache/cramps, feeling sick, unsettled stomach – children should remain off school until symptoms have gone
  • Sickness - children must remain off school for 48 hours from the last episode of sickness
  • Diarrhoea  - children must remain off school for 48 hours from the last episode of an upset stomach

   

  As stomach pains/upset stomach can be a symptom of Covid -19 within children please could we ask that if your child suffers from any of the above that they have a Lateral flow test (available from the local chemist) as soon as possible and the result reported to the school office.  Please could you also remind your child of the importance of regular hand washing.

• NHS Big Vaccination Weekend

  The NHS are running a big push to get as many people vaccinated against COVID-19 this weekend, with a series of walk-in vaccination clinics opening across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. Anyone aged over 18 or over will be able to arrive without an appointment and will be vaccinated on a first come-first-jabbed basis.
