RE

Religious Education and Worldviews

Our vision:

Each child will have a knowledge of world religions, develop their own beliefs and show respect and tolerance for others

RE is part of our school curriculum and is taught once a week in each class.  The threads of RE are intertwined across the curriculum and links to other subjects are in place to support the children's learning.

RE gives children the opportunity to explore feelings and emotions, develops a sense of awe, wonder and mystery, enables sensitivity to the religious background of all our pupils, ensures that all pupils feel secure in their study of R.E. (whatever the religious or non-religious tradition of their home) and raises awareness and understanding of of religion.

Our school uses the Kapow Scheme of work and ensures the curriculum is appropriate for each year group.
