School Vision

At Victoria Community school we aim at enabling children to become passionate learners who are eager to investigate like detectives and analyse like historians. Our enquiry - led approach allows the pupils to explore historical events and encourage critical thinking. History is seen as an essential tool to build on our understanding of the impact the past had on the present world and how the knowledge of historical events helps us to develop perspective and judgements.

Over the years at Victoria Community school, our pupils are thought history through our Creative Curriculum topics, educational visits and special theme events which are organised to promote cross curricular, full of fun and most importantly effective learning.  We strive to deliver high quality lessons where students are encouraged to direct their own learning and self-assess their skills and achievements.

We strongly believe that:

“Enabling the young generation to understand the past, enable them to understand the present

and how we can shape the future.”
