During Science Week we explored pushes and pulls.
We did three different activities which demonstrated to the children how forces can be used to make things moved. Everyone had lots of fun building ramps for the cars to race down and we investigated what happened as the ramps got steeper. We then measured and compared how far the cars had traveled. Blow painting was lots of fun too, but quite tricky. You have got to blow really hard to get the paint to move on the paper. Finally, we explored magnets and magnetic materials. We put the magnets underneath the tray and a bug on the top with a metal paper clip attached to it. When we moved the magnet around it looked like the bug was moving by itself.
