Apollo 50th anniversary

As part of 'Commemorative Week' we learnt about and celebrated 50 years of NASA's Apollo programme. We enjoyed completing our fact files, answering questions about NASA's past Apollo missions and worked well labelling parts of a rocket used in the Apollo 8 mission. We also completed some super English work based on the famous photograph 'Earthrise.' We wrote our own descriptive sentences including similes to describe what the Earth looked like from Mars. In addition, we created our own logo designs as a way of celebrating and showing respect for NASA's Apollo missions.  We enjoyed sharing our work with our parents and friends during the open afternoon! We hope you like it too!
